Originally native to the warm, dry climate of the Mediterranean, oregano is now a commonly cultivated garden herb. A member of the extensive Lamiaceae, or mint family, oregano is known for its aromatic, warming, and slightly bitter qualities. The name is derived from the Greek, meaning “mountain of joy”. Sunlight encourages the concentration of the essential oils that give oregano its distinct flavor. This kitchen staple can be used to support digestion and has many other beneficial properties to offer. Oregano is filled with healthful nutrients and wonderful antioxidant qualities.

Made in small batches in Eugene, Oregon using organic alcohol, our organic oregano extract is made with care and quality. This liquid tincture is intensely spicy and pungent and is best taken in water or juice. Oregano extract blends well with other extracts such as rosemary extract or thyme extract. Add some of this tincture to a cup of lemon tea for an added healthy boost.
